Young Engineers Challenge 2010 is on again!

Esperance Primary is hosting the 2010 Young Engineers Challenge for the 3rd year.

On Friday 13th August, selected students from Esperance and surrounding schools will join together and complete an engineering challenge based on construction.

Swimming

 

Interm Swimming for Rooms 7 - 14

Students from Rooms 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 14 will commence Interm Swimming Lessons on Monday 26 July, concluding with on Friday 6 July.

Pool entry is $25 and can be paid at the pool prior to or on their first day of lessons. If parents/carers have not paid for the cost of the bus transport ($12) as part of Contributions and Charges they must be paid at the school front office before lessons commence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
 

 

 
 

Positive Parenting Program

 Triple P - Positive Parenting Program

Next term we will be conducting a Positive Parenting Program in our library where parents and carers will be invited to attend free parenting seminars to learn practical, positive and effective ways to manage common behavioural problems, and ways to help your child achieve their best at school and in the future.The sessions will be held on Wednesday 18, 25 August and 1 September from 9.00am - 11.00am.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next Assembly

Next Assembly - Friday 30 July

Parents, Carers and community members are invited to come along when our classes host assemblies on a Friday. Assemblies are a great way for the students to show their families and friends not only what they have been learning about at school - but also how much talent they have. 

Our next assesmbly this term will be hosted by our Year Six students from Room 2, on Friday 30 July commencing at 8.45am.

Esperance Primary School is one of the ten highest value adding public schools in W.A. in regards to student achievement according to 2009 NAPLAN (national testing) data.

Student achievement, across the majority of tests, is consistently well above expectation in relation to 'like schools' and previous student performance.

Esperance Primary School (established 1956) is a Level 5 Public School located 740km east of Perth on the picturesque south east coast of WA. As an Independent Public School, we have been empowered to make decisions best suited to the needs and interests of our students and local community. Our school supports each student to take responsibility for their learning, aim for their personal best and achieve their full potential.

Our student population is currently 485 students and has mainly double streamed K-7 year levels. Our motto of Endeavour, Excellence and Co-operation is a guiding principle that underpins our school’s operations. We strive to meet the needs and interests of our students, with our socio-economic index being in the median range. Critical and creative thinking is valued, with SAER programs complimenting class learning experiences. Highly regarded PEAC and Tournament of Minds (TOM) programs provide enrichment for gifted and talented students, with innovative Science programs providing authentic and real life learning experiences.
